Why do we ride?  Our families think we are just a bit insane and they may be right. What sensible man in his mid 60’s with no experience as an endurance equestrian would decide to ride the 2,650 mile Pacific Crest Trail? It’s a huge and risky undertaking and success is by no means guaranteed. There are any number of ways we could fail. But we push on. Why?

It’s about second chances. Vic Ferrari survived Hepatitis C and now he has a second chance. He HAS to ride. It was a promise he made to himself: a promise that kept him going during the lowest points in his battle with Hepatitis C. Steve Ferrari took a big chance. Almost forty years ago he left the life he knew and settled in Venezuela, started a successful business and raised a family. L

Second Chances

Life happened and while it was a good life it has ceased to have any challenges. Steve wants to take a second chance. He wants to step out of character and join his brother and old friend in the adventure of a lifetime. Frank Collison took a chance and became an actor. He has made a living in an occupation known to be extremely unstable. He too settled down and raised a family. Now his children are off pursuing their dreams. “What’s next?”  he asked. The answer came when an old friend he hasn’t seen in forty years says, “Join us. Lets ride!” And he too takes that second chance.

Vic, Steve and Frank welcome all of you dreamers and risk takers to follow us as we pursue our second chance. We also challenge you to take chances in your lives. Who knows where the trail might lead?
